Directions

From Fiumecino Airport:

(1) Take an airport shuttle directly to our front door. (Do not take a regular taxi; fares are too high)
For example: www.romeshuttlelimousine.com (Euro 35 one way for up to 4 people). This company responds promptly to email reservations.

(2) Take the train from the airport directly to Roma Termini station (Leonardo Express train). It runs approximately every half an hour and costs one-way about Euro 9 per person. Purchased tickets must be date-stamped in one of the stamp machines on the platforms. The ride takes about 40 minutes. Trains are often very full, leaving standing room only. Once at Termini, either take a taxi to our street, our switch to the subway.

If you go by subway, buy tickets at one of the machines, counters or Tabacchi shops (the prices are the same, and generally there are shorter lines in the shops). Take Line B, direction Laurentina, and exit at "Colosseo" (2nd stop).

Exit to the Colosseum (NOTE: This is the most infamous pickpocket area in Rome!!) Go left, and follow the main street clockwise around the Colosseum slightly uphill to the south-east side. Our street is two blocks away and several streets run from the Colosseum to the Via Celimontana (See maps below). 

From Ciampino Airport

(1) Take an airport shuttle directly to our front door.

(2) Take bus to Anagnina Bus Depot / Subway stop. Note that there are two independent bus lines running to the subway, and they will not accept bus tickets from the other company. At Aganina, find your way to the subway, purchase a ticket, and take the subway (line A, the only line here; Anagnina is final subway stop) all the way to downtown. Exit at Termini, switch to line B, direction Laurentina, and exit at "Colosseo" (2nd stop).
